A few days late on Laura Mvula's new video for her new single "Overcome," but I have finally found some time to sit back and really soak in both the song and the stunning video for her collaboration with Nile Rodgers.
Laura Mvula's debut album Sing To The Moon is still in rotation and while it's been a few years since its release, I can't wait to hear what she's been cooking up. With a powerfully haunting voice and a sublime groove, "Overcome" is already a winner in my book and her artistic and beautifully shot video further underscore the song's brilliance.
