Released as the third and final single from Jill Scott's debut album Who Is Jill Scott?: Words and Sounds Vol. 1, "The Way" would go onto become Jill's second top 20 hit on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart and peaked at number 60 on the Hot 100 chart.
"The Way" is also one of my, if not favorite songs lifted from Jill's debut album simply for the infectious melody that Jill continually flips when she performs this infectious song live.
