Second Listen: "Patches" (Clarence Carter)

Back in 1970, Clarence Carter released "Patches," which was originally recorded by the Chairmen of the Board and Carter's rendition of "Patches" would later earn the crooner a #2 peak on the UK Charts as well as a #4 peak on the Billboard Hot 100. In addition to the chart success and becoming Carter's third million seller, "Patches" was nominated for two Grammy Awards and would go on to win the 1971 Grammy Award for Best R&B Song. With that said, take a second listen after the jump to Carter's classic "Patches" and Enjoy!
