With the passing of Fontella Bass last night, I thought it would be appropriate to revisit her most remembered and iconic hit "Recuse Me." Topping the R&B charts with "Rescue Me" in 1965, Fontella Bass will forever be remembered through this thumping classic that truly stands the test of time. Bass died Wednesday night at a St. Louis hospice of complications from a heart attack suffered three weeks ago and while she will be missed, her life will live on through her discography that is highlighted by "Rescue Me."
