As we close out 2012, I am often reminded about the great musical icons that we lost this year who have helped pave the way for all of the contemporary artists we so enjoy today. With that said, Etta James was one of those numerous losses this year and I find it appropriate to honor her through song. Etta James' discography has numerous live albums within it and one of those albums is her Live In New York LP, which offered up a standout blues joint in the form of James' rendition of "Stormy Monday."
