Six years ago today, The Godfather of Soul, Mr. James Brown passed away and therefore, I thought it would be appropriate to revisit one of his stirring live audio performances of "The Payback." With that said, take a listen below to James Brown wailing on his classic "The Payback" from back in 1974. The Godfather of Soul is of course bringing the soul and funk in this live audio which was lifted from a special recording from one of Brown's numerous appearance at the Apollo back in '74.
