When an artist opts to sing a cappella during a portion of their show, I think that it's a great way to help create a more intimate space. In addition to the intimacy that a cappella performances provide, they are also great venues to showcase ones voice and Sara Bareilles utilizes this to her advantage at a recent concert appearance at the Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles during a performance of her smooth ballad "Gravity."
