Album Review: "Zzzz" (Ken Ross)

In the search for some fresh music, I came across this hot new EP by Ken Ross entitled Zzzz. What's truly amazing about this EP is that Ken plays all of the instrument on the tracks minus two songs ("Zzzz" and "True to You") that feature the amazing piano stylings of Malcolm Campbell.  Ken also has the help of quiet a few MCs and singers on the album which compliment his tracks nicely. My favorite songs from this debut include both the Campbell featured tracks "Zzzz" and "True to You", "New World" which features Magestik Legend and Jo'Leon Davenue, "The Waiting Line" featuring A-Live, and "Darn That Dream". Ken Ross in my opinion is at his finest on this debut when he mixes jazz undertones with soul and hip-hop beats.  (His voice to me is reminiscent of Adam Levine from Maroon 5.) This concept album is one that you should check out and what's even more amazing is that he is offering it for free! If you go to his website http://kenrossmusic.net you can download his entire EP for free. Check it out and enjoy some fresh music!
